Joel here

What was it I was saying last week about optimism and perseverance?

Far from any large set back but frustrating none the less has been the two cold weather pest encroaching on one of our fall plantings.  A winter weed and cold weather fungus has taken their toll and today we decided to start over.

Scuffled up and raked smooth this will make a nice home for early spring lettuce and the first carrots of the season.  With December just beginning and Winter's cold embrace waiting in the shadows it's hard to think of spring. However, on the farm all we can do is thumb through seed catalogs, looking forward to spring plantings.

Here are a few specials for you to look forward to.

David's very own desert island tomato(Juliets) dried to flavor concentrated perfection.
